Sales Representative – Cape Town

General Summary:
 
Primary job function will be general sales, marketing and customer relations management with a particular focus in generating new business within (but not necessarily limited to) the security industry.
 
Skills and Knowledge:
 
    • Formal sales training or equivalent sales related work experience
    • Strong admin skills
    • Key account management experience
    • Basic conflict resolution and client liaison skills
    • Practical knowledge of South African security industry
    • Working knowledge of intrusion and CCTV products and solutions
    • General IT and networking knowledge
    • Excellent problem-solving skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to deal with people at all levels
    • PC literate with proven proficiency in MS Office
    • Ability to work independently and achieve results without supervision
 
Other:
 
    • Willing to work extended working hours when required
    • Willing to travel locally
    • Preference will be given to an EE candidate
 
Key Deliverables:
 
    • Develop long-term partnerships with the companies customers
    • Meet/exceed annual sales target
    • Generate new business
    • Sell the complete range of the companies products into assigned customer base
    • Deliver outstanding customer service
    • Collection of outstanding monies owed by assigned customers
    • Deliver monthly call cycle plan
    • Maintain account plans for top 20 customers
    • Keep up to date with new products
    • Conduct on site customer training where required
    • Meet client on site outside of normal business hours
    • Provide technical support to customers
    • Provide in-house training to customers
    • Complete all administrative requirements
    • Assist with deliveries if required
    • Manage the product group budget
    • Provide management with the relevant monthly reports and statistical information regarding sales, stockholding, clients and market trends
    • Any other job requirements as stipulated by Management
 
Educational Qualifications:
 
    • Grade 12/Matric
    • Valid Code 8 driver’s license – own vehicle required
